Millie Marotta Tableware

Unless you have been living under a rock, you can't fail to have come across the huge trend of colouring books for adults.  Millie Marotta is one of the foremost designers in this area, illustrating her books with stunning images of animals, plants and insects.
Millie creates intricate nature based illustrations using her love of of pattern and intricate detail in her studio in Wales.   Adding to her collection of books, cushions and stationery, Millie has recently released a range of tableware inspired by the British countryside and available online and through various high street retailers.

I was asked if I would like to receive a selection of Millie's tablewares and well, who wouldn't !  I selected a table runner, serving bowl and a set of dipping bowls.   I have always been somebody that adores beautiful tableware and even in a home with four men, I think its important to use them on a daily basis.  There is nothing sadder than a cupboard full of beautiful china hidden away and only used for special occasions.

Beautifully printed, the illustrations on the china and runner are intricately detailed.  I love the predominately black and white background choice with touches of  colour, as if someone has sat down and started to carefully colour the design in.

The pop of colour on these bowls is just enough to appeal to my love of not too much !

Subtle detail on the outside of this large serving bowl is absolutely perfect.

  1. Welcome back to blogging, Karen, the tableware is gorgeous. I love Millie's colouring books and would have to resist the temptation to colour in a bit of the table runner! The little hints of colour in the bowls is perfect. What a beautiful range.
